Kim Griffin

Kim Griffin is an occupational therapist striving to make occupational therapy supports available to all teachers and parents. Her goal is to ensure that families and school have immediate access to this occupational therapy expertise. Kim qualified as occupational therapist in Australia in 2003. Since then, she has had the privilege of working with many children and their families, as well as teachers. A core focus of her career has been helping children who have sensory processing difficulties and/or motor skill challenges. This includes extensive experience supporting children with autism/ASD, developmental delays, dyspraxia/DCD and specific learning difficulties. She set up the online arm of GriffinOT in 2017.

When does the course start and finish?
The course starts from the day you enroll. It is a completely self-paced online course - you decide when you start and when you finish.
How long do I have access to the course?
You have twelve months' access to the course. It is important to download your notes and certificates before the expiration date.
Does this course include treatment or support ideas?
No, this level of the course is only an introduction to sensory processing. Kim explores assessment, specific strategies and monitoring in Section 2 of the training. If you haven't already purchased it, you can choose to upgrade to Section 2 once you finish Section 1.
Does the course come with a completion certificate?
Paying members receive a CPD certificate. Members who joined for free who do not want to upgrade to Section 2, can purchase a CPD certificate for Section 1 at the end of the training (£10).
How long is the training?
The main video content of Section 1 is 2 hours. The full course will take 3 hours to complete if you engage with the additional materials and reflections.
